Week One

OK: I'm a little behind on this and I'm sure that Mama Sam has noticed so it is TIME to start booking!  Look out blog.  More is coming imminently but here are my initial homeworks!  FYI:  My current read comes from a "Between The Covers" blog from Meghan.  (Return to the Willows by Jacqueline Kelly.)  Not done yet but admire the right tone.  To butcher and misquote:  "there is nothing so wonderful as reading, simply reading a little Kenneth Graham while mucking about in boats" but Kelly has a nice voice that evokes without imitating.

Assignment One:
OK:  I got blocked at "A Million Little Pieces."   I did pretty well otherwise but am I the only one who found it frustrating that I couldn't get to the next title when I got stumped.  Unfair!  Unfair I tell you!  And I actually had a harder time with the Children's title.  You would have thought that, after all those years of being a "page" at the old Cockeysville branch, some of those covers would have rubbed off on me!

Assignment Two:
I got them all this time, but of course, I coded this webpage so I guess that is to be expected.

Assignment Three:
I made note of "Don't pigeonhole the books" since some of our training is essentially to do that.

Assignment Four:
Early Word and Stop You’re Killing Me

Assignment Five:
Loved: "The Catcher in the Rye:  It doesn’t really have a story. The cover is weird. It doesn’t give you like any clue to what it is about on the cover, like other books do. "
